Hello everyone 🙋🏻♀️. Stay home and stay protected 🙏
It’s the correct knowledge and information that is going to guide us during this Catastrophic situation. So, I would like to share this Gregg Braden’s video which has some valuable information. Though, this is a quite long video, but it is worth watching.
Why is the term ” gut “ attached to the word ” feeling”? Off course, there has to be a reason. More preferably, a scientifically researched fact.
1.Your gut is lined by a network of neurons. It is found that about 100million neurons are lined across the gut ( alimentary canal ) which are even more than in the spinal cord or the peripheral nervous system but is less than the brain. This is called the enteric nervous system. So, gut feeling is also referred to as the ” second brain”. The brain and gut are connected through this network of neurons which is the gut-brain axis. Your gut, the enteric nervous system can act independently from the brain, the central nervous system. But, most of the time, it is overridden by the brain. That is the reason, most of the time, we ignore or consciously don’t acknowledge our gut feeling.
2.The most important aspect of gut feeling is quick and automatic, appear even before the brain starts thinking logically. The gut makes similar chemicals as the brain do while thinking. It makes a quick evaluation of the situation at hand and gives feedback. It cannot analyse and do logicalthinking as the brain.
3.The huge microbiome flora in the gut not only influences the gut alone with what diet you eat but also has the perception of this world and can influence the mind and behaviour. They influence the body’s level of serotonin, which is a neurotransmitter that regulates the feelings of happiness. That is the reason a healthy diet, good sleep, good exercise can influence your mood and behaviour.
4.Your gut feeling is not intuition. Intuition is something to do with your highest level of consciousness, it is said to be the voice of the soul. Whereas gut feeling is your very human instinct. This feeling comes collectively from the neuronal network in your gut which gives you feedback based on your past experiences with the intent to keep your body safe and protected. It concerns your fear and struggles for survival.
You don’t feel right when a particular person is around you, or you feel uncomfortable in a particular situation or when you feel something is not right for you to eat, are all your gut feelings. It centres around your struggle and fear-based on your past.
Intuition is your inner voice, which may tell you choose a particular career path, or follow a certain dream or choose to be with someone.
You can rely on your gut, and choose to remain safe and not take any risk. In most instances, you use your logical brain to choose depending on your past experiences what works for you safe and better. Or you can hear your intuition and work beyond your reaches to something unknown in the past in your life experiences, or the ones which appear in your dreams.
So, you have a choice to make at every moment throughout your life.
In life, there are many situations and circumstances where you can find yourself deprived and helpless. This is just because you are surrounded by people, obligations, emotions and feelings. As a person, you are always involved with people and situations within your family, home, office, society, community or wherever you go. This isn’t an easy task daily for you to remain stress-free and maintain calm and sanity.
Therefore, in every situation or discussion, whether it is an argument, disagreement, dispute, you have with your loved one or anyone in your life, you always have a choice. You have the right to choose whether you should remain to be involved or walk away, no matter wherever you are.
Scientific reserches have already shown that unwanted stress play a toxic role in harming our health, immunity (defence system against diseases) and overall wellbeing. The less , the better for us. Toxic reactions like anger, tensions, fear, hurt, anxiety, worry in daily life not only gives you unnecessary stress but affect your mental peace and greatly affect your physical health too. So what’s best for you and serve your purpose of wellbeing, should be an ideal choice. Atleast, you will have your peace and sanity maintained.
5 situations, when walking away seems to be a better choice.
1.Walk away from anger: Any arguments, disagreements with whoever you are that end up in anger and tensions, walking away is a better choice. In the process of trying to put forward your point, you may end up getting angry. Give time and space and wait for a more convenient time and opportunity. Things do work out in a relaxed atmosphere.
2.Walk away from your ego: A little ego always helps you to boost your belief and confidence in yourself. It does help you to grow in your career and work. But when your ego makes you feel better or superior to others is not at all a good thing. Then, your ego becomes pride. Holding onto it, everywhere, you go, becomes toxic. So, walking away from your ego when it doesn’t hold any purpose is a better choice.
3.Walk away from people who put you down, judges you and never acknowledges your opinion. Trying to please such people will only harm you more than doing good. So, hold on to your respect and walk away from people who don’t see your worth. Remember, not everyone will like you. So, trying to please everyone isn’t necessary.
4.Walk away from your fear: Each one of us has some fear or worry within us, The fear may be imaginary or may be related to past experiences. Overthinking and ruminating makes the fear worst. It becomes a hindrance to your progress in life and your goal. So, walking away from fear and worry which are baseless is a better choice.
5. Walk away from the past: The past which no longer exists can be full of both good and bad memories. While the good ones can be cherished but the bad ones keep you haunting. Then, you learn from your past but it sometimes stops you from experiencing life in the present times. So, it is better to walk away from the past which doesn’t exist anymore.

To do something new, creative, different, the dynamic is scary, fearful and risk bearing. Not many of us like it. In our daily grind, we have responsibilities, financial liabilities and goals to meet. Who likes to risk the liabilities and do something different and add to more stress in the daily routine? This happens not only at work, but also doing something creative, or following a passion.
Being in a comfort zone makes you complacent, close-minded and vulnerable to change. You live life just because you are alive. But life isn’t about just being alive, you are here to celebrate, enjoy and feel happy for your existence in this life journey. At the end of the day, we all agree life is too short. Each one of us is responsible for the kind of life we lead.
So the phrase typically comes ” step outside your comfort zone “ Whether you become successful or failure isn’t important. It’s the satisfaction, enjoyment, confidence and the self-growth you gained through the process that gives you so much joy and happiness that truly matters. So let’s do it
1 Start taking a task or project which you thought you cannot make it. Start working on it. 2 Start doing something creative. Take a music, art, photography, dance class which you would love to do but embarrass to try out. 3 Bring changes in your routine exercise regime. Try something different which you think you cannot do. 4 Choose a fear ( stage fear, giving speech, height) something you have, confronts it. 5 Reach out to someone whom you wanted too but hesitated or join a like-minded group of your interest.
I have failed and you have failed. We all have failed. Yet, when we fail, we are so upset 😭, torn , collapsed that we don’t like trying again. Because none of us like failing in life, at work, at play, in business or even in relationship. But it’s actually the failures that teaches us the most. 5 take aways…
Lesson taught : Failure teaches you the best lesson on why ,how and what went wrong in any task you did. It helps you become intelligent and frame better strategies.
Grounded : It keeps you humble and grounded. Even when you get success , you cannot forget the pain and struggle you went through.
Committed to goals : You are more determined to achieve your goals. Recommits you towards your goal.
Overcome fear: You don’t have fear and insecurity any longer. Its keep you focus rather than anticipating the future or outcome.
Support system : Tough days are good to acknowledge your true friends and family who stood by you and support you.
Why do we frequently have a feeling of being stuck? Why do we feel, we are yet to get our dream job? Why do feel we are yet to go on a dream vacation? Why do we feel we are yet to get the right opportunity?
Not only in professional life, but these questions do prop up also in our personal life? This happens when we focus on scarcity. When we have a mindset to focus on what we do not have.
So instead of what we do not have, let us shift our mindset to abundant thinking, on what we do have?
So then, how does the changing mindset helps? 5 wonderful ways:
1.Start focus on abundance from your daily life. Start to appreciate the food, life, people around you, the roof, your friends and so on. Instead of a closed mind, your mind opens up, start seeing and appreciating things which you have never noticed. Once you start feeling abundance, your mind opens up to a positive vibe. Not just one day, develop this habit for each and every passing day. On a bad day too, instead of a sour mood, start to get things more organized, disciplined. You will bound to get results.
2.At home, at work, everywhere you go, get the abundance vibe from other people. Instead, of feeling threatened or fear of other’s success, when you start appreciating them, you create yourself a safe abundant environment. You start to appreciate their lives and struggle. You can grow as an individual, a continuous positive vibe, non-judgemental thinking gives you an opportunity to look at every failure or success as milestones. You are more open and secured, you can take up further challenges without fearing failures.
3.Changing takes time. To develop an abundance thinking takes some time. Each time your mind goes back to old thoughts, keep reminding all the good things, good people you have. Practice gratitude daily. This is a powerful tool to experience abundance and happiness in life. You can create your own daily abundance affirmations. Feeling abundance gives happiness despite circumstances. You feel whole, satisfied.
4.Focus what is going right in your life. Focusing on what is going right gives your brain a more holistic and larger approach to problems in life. You can derive the right decisions and solutions easily with a more open and optimistic approach. You are more creative and inspired by life.
5.Being self-aware is the thumb rule. Self-awareness helps you be aware of your thoughts, language and behaviour. It is a powerful tool to bring out a new change, built a new habit in our life. By being aware, you make a conscious effort to check the thoughts that come and shift them towards abundance. Feeling plentiful gives you a satisfying life.
In each one of us, life runs with a common drive, call emotion. Whatever action we do, there is an emotion behind. Not only human, but all animals have emotions. So, fear is also a basic emotion, an instinct for a potential danger.
Whenever we see, feel, sense some kind of danger/threat, biologically, the amygdala and hypothalamus in the brain get instantly activated. The stress hormones like cortisol, adrenaline are pumped in the blood stream which result in rapid heart beat, high blood pressure, dilated pupil, tightening of big muscles and sweating, ready to run, fight or response. Actually, this is our biological mechanism, a protective response which helps us to survive. Fear, as an instinct is not bad at all. In fact when fear comes, our mind becomes focus, sharpened at the particular task and we can perform better. It is an adaptive mechanism. The instinct is short lived and the body comes back to its normal homeostasis.
Feeling little fear for an upcoming event, job interview, exam, speech, stage performance is a natural instinct. In fact, it would help you to be more focus on the up coming task. Instinctual fear for fire, height, speed or some kind of potential danger to life is all natural. So fear is adaptive and protective when short lived.
But then, why fear affect us ? When fear becomes habitual, crippling, excessive, it will eventually affect our mental and physical health. When fear is imaginative, irrational, unrealistic, it gets you into real trouble. It will affect your daily life. Then, it is no longer instinctive. It becomes habitual in the sub conscious mind for some imaginative events or ideas which is not even real or that has never happened. In such cases, it is very difficult to get out of such mind frame. Constant fear can lead to anxiety. Anxiety and stress not only have negative impact on your health but also the daily functioning of life. To get out from a habitual fear, a default sub conscious programme, you need to be constantly aware of such moments. The most important thing is your will power, the trust and belief in yourself to bring out the change. This is not an easy task. But, yes, it is possible and you can overcome fear eventually. At times, professional help might be necessary, if the situation is out of control. When it comes to fear, childhood is an important phase. Unrealistic, irrational fears inculcated in childhood may result in anxiety, phobias and even panic attacks in future life.
Simple tips to overcome your fear in everyday life.
Start facing your fear. The first or second time, you may tumble, but slowly you will overcome.
As I have already mentioned, by being more aware of such moments, know yourself why you get anxious or fearful and being prepared for such moments. So next time, when it comes you know, it is just your imaginative mind. Take a few deep breathes, and it goes away after a while.
Try maintain a calm mind, exercise, yoga and meditation surely helps in calming the mind.
Your spirituality or faith in something that is higher than you makes you feel connected and safe.
But lastly, yes, if fear is out of control, medical/professional help is necessary.
